About me
Discover Jon Snapaway: The Person Behind the Camera
I’m Jon — a Kent-based wedding photographer with a relaxed, documentary approach, focused on real moments and genuine emotion rather than staged or forced shots.
I work in a calm, unobtrusive way, blending into the background for most of the day. If timings start to drift, I’m more than happy to give a friendly nudge to keep things moving — always with a smile and always in everyone’s best interests. Weddings don’t need stress, but they do benefit from someone who knows when to quietly step in.
My approach has been shaped over many years photographing weddings, including my time working with Lee at Blushing Bride Photography. That experience helped define how I work today — keeping things natural, relaxed, and focused on letting the day unfold without turning it into a photoshoot. Couples often tell me they felt comfortable and at ease, which is exactly how it should be.
I don’t clock-watch or over-direct, and I’m mindful of not pulling couples away from their guests for long stretches. I focus on capturing what’s really happening — the nerves, the laughter, and the in-between moments that often end up meaning the most.

The Perfect day captured by the best Photographer
Jon was great from the get-go, from the moment we engaged his services he was incredibly responsive and answered any questions we had (and I did have a few!!). My husband isn't a fan of photos, but Jon instantly put him at ease and explained his photography style and approach, which was spot on for us as a couple.
The Wedding day arrived, and Jon was there in the morning to capture some shots, and he also stayed throughout the evening to capture our dance and some last photos of us and the guests.
